Aerial pole dancing for fun and fitness.

Marks Army

On a completely unrelated business note, I have made this post so my friends can purchase a hoody for Mark.
Please choose the sizing below, as well as providing me with your full name, and your phone number so I can confirm with you that I have recieved your payment and order.

Please remember the cost has been inflated 5$ so we can buy his family sweaters. I also know there are a few people who live outside of Leduc, so the extra inflation can also cover shipping these people as well. Any extra money will be given to them as well.

Hoodies fit accurate to size and are available in S-XXL. The sweater is black with white font. I hope to have them in by June 10th.

Please contact me for any additional details.
DIVADANCEFITNESS will appear on your credit card statement.

Hoodies

Many times, there is a peak in fitness in January due to New Years Resolution’s. The madness is usually done by March, and then there will be a few who start again to try and get in shape for summer. After summer ends, most people do not start again until January.

Why not try to be active all year round?

It can be hard to commit to summer classes, so maybe just enroll in one. If you enjoy classes because you feel dedicated to go-that is great! Stay tuned for our next classes which will be starting in May, and in the meantime contact us and drop in on Wednesday’s for Pole Fitness- a class that will leave you feeling great the next day, and probably even a little sore!!

If you are unable to take classes currently, go for walks with family, go outside and play some basketball, go for a bike ride, or a rollerblade…. There are many options available in the summer that we do not get in the winter. Take advantage of it!

Until next time,

xoxo

Diva Dance Fitness

I know from my own experience that it can be very nerve wracking to sign up for a pole dancing class! It’s scary, not many people do it, and there can be a stigma attached to it. The reality is, Diva Dance Fitness offers a fun, safe environment for students to learn pole dancing for fitness comfortabley. In the first class of the first level, it is pretty quiet, minus a few giggles. By the end of the level though, everyone is chatting, and it feels like second nature to show up to class. You can rest assured there is no nudity, and that you will feel great about taking these classes. The beginner class, is just that- for beginners!  You learn to feel comfortable with the pole and learn a variety of swings and transitions to music.

If you would like a referral from one of our students to hear what they think of classes, or have questions that aren’t answered on the website, please feel free to contact Jody via email, or telephone.

The next class is on February 27th at 6:15pm…What are you waiting for? Sign up today before the last two spots are taken!!

Diva Dance Fitness

On February 11th, 2012 Diva Dance Fitness will be at Yote’s in Leduc from 9pm-11pm giving free pole dance lessons. Come out, and try pole dancing for FREE, in safe environment. There will be a cordoned off area with curtains so only ladies will be participating and watching as we know that it can be a little intimidating to try. There will also be a Valentine’s Day theme going on- we anticipate it will be a ton of fun!

Bring a friend or two, and come give it a try- we know you have been thinking about it. We can’t wait to meet you!

New Policies

Diva Dance Fitness has recently updated our policies to better suit our client’s needs. Before I get into the updates I would like to personally thank each and every-one of you for taking classes. I love to teach, and you ladies make that possible. Please feel free to talk to me about the updates and remember I did not make them due to any one person. Also some things are already followed but I am just making sure everyone is aware of them.

The new policies have come about because I am trying to restructure classes to facilitate even more learning for you! The updates to policies are as follows:

1.    The first class of the first level is the most important and that cannot be missed. Otherwise only one class can be missed by each student at each level. The reason being that there is so much to teach, that if you miss more than one class it is too hard to catch you up and it is not fair for the other ladies to wait for me to do this.

2.    If you do miss more than one class and do not schedule extra learning time on the side, or you cannot be caught up in an extra fifteen minutes prior to class you will not be able to move onto the next level.

3.    If you attend classes but are still struggling with moves that we need to continue on to the next level you will not be able to move up to the next level. Things that are important to move on to each level are sits, climbs, inversions etc. Moves must be executed safely, and we need to know these basics in order to continue to progress. You can take the level over again, and it will be a different routine to different music, but with the same moves! This can be very beneficial.

4.    If you cannot attend class, please let me know by text, email, or face-book as most of you already do. This is so I am not waiting or worried about you ladies, and it also lets me know how many poles to set up.

5.    Please be at class on time. If class starts at 6:30, be there at 6:20, or at the very least 6:30. Obviously issues arise and if you have to be later that is okay, but make sure it is not every week. If you are so late as that we have already finished our warm-up you will be able to watch but not participate as the warm-up is so important for safety.

Thank you for understanding ladies. These updates are not meant to make you feel bad but help everyone become better dancers in a safe way!!! Let’s get poling!

Charity BBQ update

Well, we really lucked out on the 28th. We had amazing weather, and so many people came out to support the cause. With your help, and the generous donations from Homes by Avi, Shoppers Drug Mart, Giant Tiger, and Sobeys in Leduc we raised $2930. This charity BBQ for Leduc and District Victim Services could not have been a bigger success and we could not have done it without you. Pat yourselves on the back Leduc, it truly was a beautiful day!

Summer Fun

Hey Diva’s!

It has been a while since our last blog! We have been busy. Currently, all classes are over for the summer, but will resume again in the Fall. Our tentative fall schedule begins September 12th and 13th and looks like:

Mondays:

6:15-7:15pm- Level One (one position available)

7:15-8:15pm- TBA

8:15-9:15pm- TBA

Tuesdays

6:15-7:15pm- Level One (one position available)

7:15-8:15pm- Level One beginner (starts Oct 11, positions available)

 8:15-9:15pm- Level Three (FULL)

We will continue to update this calendar and let you know of any changes!

If you are wondering what the beginner class entails, you will be dancing once a week, for one hour, for six weeks. At the end of the six week period you will have learned a series of transitions and swings that make up a full choreographed routine to music. For any other questions please contact us!

Other than planning all these great summer events, and figuring out our fall schedule what have we been up to? We recently attended a bridal shower and loved every minute of it! Pole is a great way to celebrate special occasions, and the entire group was giggling and feeling great all afternoon. We LOVE doing parties.
